CMYK - cyan, magenta, yellow and black
Cyan, magenta, yellow and black. What happens when I work only with these four source colours? This question led me to a body of work, rooted in the logic of the classical four-colour printing method.
I do not mix the colours on the palette, but apply them in transparent layers, one after another, directly onto the canvas. I invent patterns and structures, building up the surface through repetition and variation. As the layers accumulate, colour emerges through optical and physical interaction, often in unexpected ways, revealing a kind of constructed chaos.
